re-enchant your faith
Our world has been disenchanted.
Christians belong to a decisively established kingdom, but our daily lives bear the brunt of ugliness, pressure, and banality -- forces great and small that divorce the wonders of God from our sight. Worn and disillusioned, we sometimes wish the unseen realities were as evident as a physical realm beyond the back of a wardrobe.
They can be.
Imagination Redeemed is a gathering of people who long for God’s mysteries to be illuminated more clearly on the stage of our world; to find His handiwork everywhere; and to see His people filled will the kind of stories, songs, and ideas that awaken them to their parts in the Great Drama.
In this, its third year, our two-day conference will happen in three acts, as we explore the three realms where the sacred theater of the work of God’s people plays out. Along the way, we will be inspired by great works of art and music and literature, old and new, that have been created toward one end: displaying God’s presence on earth.
The conference will follow a Friday night through Saturday night format, including lectures, workshops and breakouts, music and stories, and much more.

The Pinery at the Hill
775 W Bijou St, Colorado Springs, CO 80905 (map below)
Since opening its doors in 2005, The Pinery, owned by Mitchell Yellen, has earned a reputation as southern Colorado’s premier destination for resort-style special events. With this elegant venue, five-star service, and iconic views of both the mountains and downtown Colorado Springs, The Pinery sets the standard for memorable events. It's in the breathtaking green foothills of the Rocky Mountains, just two minutes' drive from the energizing entrepreneurial, artistic, and culinary scene that is Tejon Street.
For this event, we have beautiful dining rooms and lecture halls, a top-notch bar, special rooms for quiet escape and reflection or enjoying art and conversation, and loads more.
Frequently asked questions...please check here before emailing us; it might save us both some time!
IDEAS FOR DINNER DOWNTOWN?
We've created a Google Map with some of our favorite spots here (check our notes; we've indicated which places are friendliest to special diets). We've also included parking information in the map description. You can use the Facebook event to coordinate your dinner plans with people, or go with one of our Anselm staff-led groups.
CAN I BUY A TICKET FOR JUST a portion of the weekend?
Most likely not.
I'M AN INTROVERT, SO I SHOULD PROBABLY TALK MYSELF OUT OF GOING BECAUSE IT'S LESS DAUNTING, RIGHT?
That depends. Do you like sitting quietly and listening to awesome people inspire you with no pressure to talk back (i.e. lectures)? Do you like really good coffee, food, and other drinks? Do you appreciate gorgeous views of either skylines or mountains? And (the kicker) do you like the idea of having this room furnished with tables and cushy armchairs, designated as a Quiet Room and available for retreat all day?
In short: we take hospitality seriously. We'll take good care of you. We even have some Anselm staff-led groups going to dinner, so there's no chance of you feeling left out there. Also most of our speakers are introverts and they are coming. Don't be silly. You should come.
WHAT'S THE PARKING SITUATION?
The Pinery's lot has 150 parking spaces; if you are coming with other family members or friends, we encourage you to carpool.
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE TICKET PRICE?
The conference ticket price provides you with access to the entire event, including your choice of workshops (first-come, first-served). Breakfast pastries, lunch, and afternoon snacks are included; as are water, coffee, and tea all day. Cocktail hour will feature a cash bar. Dinner is NOT included in the ticket price, because we have too much fun breaking up into smaller groups to enjoy the many wonderful restaurants downtown. This will be a chance to take a break from the space, experience downtown Colorado Springs, and enjoy excellent food in a more intimate setting with friends. (We will have a few Anselm staff-led groups in case you haven't brought or made any bosom friends!)
I HAVE SPECIAL DIETARY NEEDS. CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE THEM?
There will be gluten free, dairy free, and vegan options at lunch. As for dinner, we will give you advance info about the best restaurants for special diets...but downtown Colorado Springs is a national leader on that front so you shouldn't have a problem.
I'M COMING FROM OUT OF TOWN. WHAT HOTELS DO YOU RECOMMEND?
The Antler's - A Wyndam Hotel
(719) 955-5600 or toll free (866) 299-4602
Right across the highway from the venue, The Antlers is a lovely upscale hotel with a ton of local charm in the heart of walkable downtown with all its amenities.
Please ask for the Anselm Society special rate ($109 per night). If you have a car, the parking fee is reduced to $9. This rate is available until Friday, April 12, at noon.
WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?
You may cancel your registration for a full refund up to 7 days before the event. We cannot accept cancellations within seven days of the event, but if you can't make it, we do appreciate you letting us know.
I'M NOT SURE I CAN AFFORD IT. ARE THERE SCHOLARSHIPS?
There is a scholarship fund for Anselm member artists, because we want them all to be able to attend. (Apply to be a member artist here.) Member artists may apply for a scholarship (full or partial) simply by requesting one from Brian Brown. Depending on funds, we may be able to offer scholarships to a limited number of others. If you wish to apply for a scholarship, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, reason for need, why you want to come, and requested amount. We will notify you in March if you have been selected for a scholarship.
